Use this walkthrough to understand what happens during a KeepGrid install before you connect it to a production Discord server.
1. Start with the dry-run preview
The preview reads the current Discord structure and shows every role, category, channel, pinned message, and rules post that KeepGrid plans to create. Nothing is changed during this step.
2. Review the blueprint
The plan names the vertical blueprint, version, role specs, category specs, documents, workflows, and safety guarantees. KeepGrid creates safe label roles and channel overwrites; it does not create Administrator roles.
3. Check preflight
Preflight checks Discord access, role/channel capacity, install scope, rollback coverage, docs-only targets, and role hierarchy risk. A failed preflight blocks installation until the owner fixes the issue.
4. Run install
During execution, KeepGrid snapshots the server, creates missing roles/channels, posts selected pinned guidance, records every created object ID, and writes a timestamped progress log.
5. Verify the log
The shareable install log exposes only non-sensitive fields: server name, status, blueprint summary, preflight checks, progress, counts, and errors. It does not expose guild IDs, tokens, snapshots, or created-object IDs.
