How to install KeepGrid — start to finish

From the moment you click Run Free Audit to a fully configured Discord, the whole flow is about 5 minutes. Here's what each step does.

Step 1 — Run a free Ops Audit (~30s)

Go to /audit and paste your Discord invite (e.g. discord.gg/yourserver). The audit reads only public invite metadata — same info Discord shows on hover cards. No bot installed at this stage.

In ~30 seconds you get back: Ops Score 0–100, severity-ranked findings, player-impact framing on the worst issue, and an estimate of how long it'd take to fix manually. No signup, no card.

Step 2 — Click "Generate my pack" (intake form, ~30s)

The audit results page has a primary CTA to /get-started. The intake form asks: server name, RP style (serious / semi-serious / police-heavy / gang-heavy / whitelist-only / streamer / public / relaunch), staff size, active factions, what's currently broken.

Pre-fill happens automatically — your audit data populates the form so you only enter what's missing.

Step 3 — Preview 3 docs free (~2 minutes)

After submit, KeepGrid generates all 13 documents tuned to your inputs — whitelist rubric, server rules, staff handbook, ticket routing map, and 9 more. You see live progress.

Key thing: 3 of the 13 are previewed in full immediately (rubric, rules, starter guide). Read them before deciding whether to pay. If they don't fit your server, walk away — those 3 are yours to keep, no card needed.

Step 4 — Pick a plan and check out

If the previews look right, choose a plan at /pricing: Docs Pack ($19, just the docs), Launch OS ($49, docs + Discord install), or Bundle ($59 + $19/mo, install + drift control).

Checkout runs through Stripe. We accept cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, EU SEPA, and Klarna in supported regions. After payment you land back on the dashboard.

Step 5 — Click "Install to Discord" (~60–120s)

Only available on Launch OS / Bundle / Annual / Done-for-you. Click Install to Discord on the dashboard. Discord OAuth opens — pick your server. The bot lands and starts creating channels and roles.

Live progress page shows each step. Average install: 60–120 seconds. The installer is idempotent — if you already have a #rules channel, we leave it alone.

After install: 30+ channels, 9 roles, full permission matrix, pinned workflows. The bot then sits silent unless you click Re-install or Roll back.

Step 6 (Bundle/Pro only) — First weekly Ops Health scan

If you bought the Bundle or added Pro, the first scan runs automatically next Monday at 14:00 UTC. You can also trigger an on-demand scan from the dashboard immediately.

The scan reads channels, roles, permissions, and ticket/channel metadata (never reads message bodies). Returns the same 0–100 Ops Score format. Results land in the dashboard + a weekly action-plan email each Monday.

Common gotchas

  • Bot can't see channels it created. Check the bot's role is positioned ABOVE the roles it manages in Server Settings → Roles.
  • 403 on first install step. The bot needs Manage Channels + Manage Roles + Manage Guild. Re-invite via the OAuth link if you accidentally unchecked one.
  • Channels duplicated. Means the installer ran twice with a different channel-name set. Use Roll back from the dashboard to delete what KeepGrid created, then re-run.
  • Documents look generic. Means your intake was sparse. Re-open the project and add more detail (specific factions, staff count, problems). Then click Regenerate documents.
